A Pep Talk.

I love this video. Its from The Kid President, who has become a Youtube sensation. I love uplifting messages. If you have a minute, watch this video. It will bring a smile to your face. I loved this message so much, I took some notes. I want this in print. So Without Further Ado...

*The world needs you to STOP BEING BORING!  Yeah .You.

* Life is not a game people. Its not a cereal, either.  Well, it is a cereal...

* If life is a game? Aren't we all on the same team? I'm on your team...Be on my team!

* Two roads diverged in the woods...And I took the road less traveled.

* Don't stop Believing. Unless your dream is stupid. Then you should find another dream.

* Be a better dream to keep going....and going...

* What if Michael Jordan had quit? He never would have made Space Jam. What would be your Space Jam? What will you create to make the world awesome? NOTHING.  If you keep Sitting there.

*This is Your Time. This is My Time. This is Our Time.

* We can make everyday better for each other, if we're all on the same team...lets act like it.

* We've work to do. We can cry about it. Or we can dance about it.

* We Were Made To Be Awesome.

* Its everybodys duty to Give The World A Reason to Dance.

Single Adult Conference

Singles Conference was great. It was really far away this year, and I barely made it with little sleep. But I helped make my first pinewood derby car, got to meet up with my longtime friend Sonja- hadn't seen her in 15 years!! And met new ones. Great weekend. I wish I took better notes. Oh well.

Book Club- A Heart So Broken

Its funny that I write a post about book club, when I don't get to participate in one..because of work. With that in mind, here is my own private book club. I hope to have a fun name later. My friend Christene wrote this debut novel. Its wonderful. You will laugh, cry..and feel all warm inside! Since its Valentine's Day..head on over to and enter her giveaway for this book.  Best of luck and Happy Reading! P.S.  you can purchase her book at Barnes and Noble..Amazon and alson on her site you can purchase an ebook. Those are the best I tell ya! :)

My Review from Goodreads-
This book is so amazing! Its a about girl named Jenna Tucker, who's going through the grief of losing her Dad while serving in Iraq. In her grief she gets involved with the wrong crowd and heads towards a downward spiral. Her mother sends her to live with her Aunt for the summer to sort out her life. I could identify with Jenna. My heart broke for her as she was dealing with the hurt of losing her own father, the anger to know that only one had survived. This is definetly a page turner. I loved the romance that developed for Jenna. I probably could have stayed up all night to read this one, but after being up all day I chose to sleep. And finish this in two days. This is a debut novel of a dear friend. Great job Christene!! Can't wait to read your next one. :)(less)

So I have a bunch of pics and I need to update my dear here goes. So, for my birthday I bought myself a nice gift

This book is amazing. Read it. Devour it. Your Welcome. : )

Meanwhile...I pushed to the backburner reading another book..and then I got invited to Christene's home and we met Julianne Donaldson author of Edenbrooke!!

It was a great night. Great conversation..Great food. And I STILL hadn't read it. But hearing these ladies totally swoon over it..and then to hear from the author herself, I HAD to read this now. I actually ended up reading this last weekend. The book is great. I finished it in a day or so. But it really takes off quick. I wish I had a Phillip.. *swoon* You can read a preview of Edenbrooke on Amazon.or buy it at DB.but I have something better for you.

The next day after the party we celebrated Lilly' s birthday! It was so much fun as always.

The card reads Queen for a Day. Fitting I think for Queen Elizabeth.

Friends Forever!
Two thumbs up approval!
Happy Birthday Lilly...We Love You!!
I received some birthday love myself...I love this poster. My adopted motto.
Thanks Tiff <3 p="">
I looked in the mailbox and what did I see? A new book...Emmalee!
Thanks Goodreads.
And..HOLY CANNOLI!! That's me. I'm in print.

After winning my book..I tried my luck at trying to attend the sold out Imagine Dragons concert. Not so lucky.
But, I did see the band..I stood right behind them! And..I met a Sister Wife. ; )
Pinterest Project Success. And the great thing? It was actually
my coworkers birthday this night that I went in. We ALL were surprised.

I brought in Texas Caviar..and we ate enchiladas..and red velvet cake. Yumm .

And Happy V-Day..and Single's Awareness Day. That spells sad! Ugh.
Loved this picture.

Lastly, I was blog surfing this morning. I read a post about a local ob-gyn that has a playlist on the ipod for his c-sections.

Five things about me.

Hello! There's this little challenge on Instagram...And I haven't been tagged by anyone yet. So with that being said. I am inviting myself to the challenge. Five things about me...ready, set, go!

1. This is one of my favorite pictures because I am standing in one of my favorite places..Iao Valley National Park in Hawaii. Its a lovely place.

2. I have this obsession with Sonic Ice. It reminds me of hospital ice. And that makes me happy.

3. I can be a kind, drill sargent nurse. If you haven't been up and your a out. Bwahaha! "Me- you need to walk. Patient- but ive been up all day. Me- thats ok, come visit me...OUT AT THE DESK! GET UP! :) "

4. I love to meet and talk to people..although sometimes I am painfully shy. But if i'm in a new place I constantly notice..people will talk to me, or at me. And my little car attracts ginormous SUV'S in any parking lot, no matter where I park. Its true.

5. I'm shoving all of this in to the last...I've been banned from McDonald's, set my stove on fire...and drove through my house. Any Questions?

And if you haven't been cool enough to be tagged. You just have.  :)

Sharing Time- Chilaquiles

I love a good recipe . Especially when it comes from a friend. What is Chilaquiles? It's a casserole that comes from Mexico . My friend Patty shared this with me. It uses old tortillas corn or flour, red sauce eggs and cheese. There are different variations. It tastes even better the next day. You can add chicken to this or serve with refried beans. Here is my version.

1 pkg of torn flour or corn tortillas
Vegetable oil for frying
Six or seven eggs beaten w milk
1/2cup to 1 cup salsa, pico de gallo, or red sauce.
Bacon-I baked mine, I used six-7 pieces.
Queso Fresco it's a Mexican cheese located near the crema. It is salty! You just crumble it .

First tear the tortillas and fry in vegetable oil. You want the a little crispy and golden brown. Meanwhile, you can tear up the bacon pieces you already cooked.
Next add the salsa or red sauce to your eggs and stir. Add mix to tortillas. Add bacon. You might want to turn your fire down. Cook until eggs are cooked. Add queso and enjoy! And this makes great leftovers!
