August 7th- Its time!!!

Today is the day! My trip of a lifetime is finally here. I think I've had one already, but here goes another.  : )  We got to the airport early...much thanks to Becky, you're the best! We got to take off in the new terminal...and it was lovely. I had a mini crisis as soon as I arrived, I thought I lost my glasses! Oh drama...I was much too excited, all was well...here's some pics of us waiting patiently. ; )
So the running joke on our little tour group was that we weren't from America. Because the europeans hate americans. So...we were from Canada..hence MaryAnn's Canadian Spray. Cause you know we're from Alberta.  ; )

Oh when I was at McCarran, I thought I spied a celebrity...I think I may have mistaken..cause now I have forgotten, oh well. We did spy our plane...

Then I strapped on my dreadful stockings. We boarded and the plane inside was huge! Im not sure if its a 747 or larger but it had three large aisles..with a business class and first class. We rode coach..or the new word, economy. But it was very nice, and had a tv set on the back of the headrests! I loved listening to the stewardesses and the british accents. I listened to some music from the uk..a couple of movies, not to mention start my huge book, Insurgent. Why not? It was a packed plane, but they fed us dinner at 1 am, then breakfast laterf. Getting used to the time change was crazy! It felt like we had been up for at least 24 hours. The  flight to London was only 8 or 9 hrs. Not the 12 I was anticipating. Did I mention how excited I am to be in LONDON?!!! I am starting to realize that I may have brought a little too much luggage..

Road Trip!

I was invited to go on the famous bus trip put on by the Heritage Ward.  San Diego...Or Bust!

First stop-Barstow Station. Great many things to do here...like hang in drivethrough with Mary Ann and Josh. Mary Ann is also going on my Europe trip. We both crashed this trip.  :)

We got into the Travel Lodge around 2. The rest of the travelers got to put their stuff in their rooms and chill for a bit. My room? First the key didn't work..and when we got another key, it opened...to an occupied room!!! Then I got another room...again occupied. I was tired of hiking across the property. We finally got a room, that was in the process of being cleaned...but at least we had a room!!  :)

But the property sure was pretty.

Next stop.....BEACH!!!

Oh, how I've missed the beach!!

I met new friends....

And I met Alaura who's celebrating her first birthday...and beach outing.  Happy Birthday Alaura.

Later that night...we went through the city of Coronado and we had a bonfire with a singles ward and the beach we stayed was where the Navy Seals trained...don't remember the name of the beach. Pictures to come, if I can get any....my phone had died.  :(

Dreams Come True! I finally get to see the Mormon Batallion Site and Old Town!

500 Mormon Volunteers that marched over 2000 miles!! It really was amazing.

After, we strolled through Old Town.

And, although lunch was provided....As an adult, we get to make choices. And I chose Mexican!!!

I made it here....finally.

I ate my first Chili Relleno...it was sooo good.

And, the best part was I finally found shoes on accident!!  Very Happy Feet!

It was such a fun trip. It was packed and we were sooo busy. But fun! Love San Diego.

AAACK!! Two more weeks. Till my life changing experience.. I am so stinking excited! How did I go from being nervous last week to almost giddy? I've put on my lavendar..but not sleepy yet. Late at night is when my creative juices are a flowin.

And I am going to do a day trip to London...for real. Besides the airport!!!  :)
