For those of you who didn't get a chance to get to know my mom, let me introduce her. Her name is Helen. . She had been through alot over the years, but she never complained. Mothers Day is hard for us that don' t have our mothers here. But we can honor them, and live our best lives and to be happy....and I know without a doubt my Mom and Dad would want that for me. I love you Mom!

Brian Setzer Orchestra - Hawaii Five O
44 days, 10 hrs to go. But who's counting? :) When I think Hawaii..I think this some, and I love Brian Setzer Orchestra....so enjoy!
The Voyage to Provo ... aka Star Wars
So as you can see, we had a freaky snow storm. It started in Parowan. And it got so much worse. I have never seen so much snow before. I love rain and some snow, but this was ridiculous. The blessing in all of this was that even though I was driving at night, thankfully there was no black ice on the roads. After Parowan and further into Beaver and Fillmore it was honestly a white out. I drove white knuckled pretty much the whole way I think. I had my friends Lilly and Alison with me. But I can only describe it like this.. Star Wars. Because you were in this dark hole with all this white flying towards you. It was so terrifying, and I was panicky. But we prayed every 50 miles, I knew we needed to go forward. I drank an energy drink, and I knew I wouldn't sleep and lose even more time on the road. We were protected. So I drove abt 25 mph all the way up there, not to mention road construction in between. So I ended up getting up there around 3 am..so took me a total of 12 hrs. But we had a nice room waiting for us at Marriott, so this is day one and I'll continue next time.
Oh the weather will be just fine......

Late Night Thoughts

I'm thinking about alot of things tonight as I stay up late. I was catching up on Biggest Loser on my DVR from last week and there was a segment that woke me up and made me teary. I guess you can call it the A ha moment. The contestants went to Texas to invite people to a 5K . There was a girl there abt 35 yrs old. She was walking with Oneal and was tell her story. Both sides of her family have type 2 Diabetes, and she lost her mother as a result of her disease. It really hit home for me, since having both of my parents pass away due to complications from Diabetes. Oneal had said something that clicked for me. You have to do it for you, and no one else. Its so true, right? I know that I am so guilty of making excuses. I'm tired, or i'm sick...or there isn't any time. I do enjoy working out when I go, but do i go every day? That would be a big no. But, having gone to a doctor's appointment today and watching this program tonight, has made me realize....a change needs to come. I don't know how right now, definetly need to kick up the exercising. And figure a diet that works for me. Weight Watchers honestly made me feel bad about myself everytime I went and weighed in, i'm interested yet very wary of HCG..but I know this whatever I end up choosing I need to feel comfortable with. Maybe talking to a nutritionist might be a good idea. But my lightbulb has been turned on. We'll see how I do!
